Treasure Hunt

It was just another ordinary morning to get ready, prepare and explore. They walked, they rode and boom! There’s the learning station: school. What a great morning, this should not be wasted.

Rules, regulations and policies, these are the !!!!!!!! of the students of JCSGO Christian Academy. Obeying is like a sin and disobeying is like a joy. And no wonder, many are pissed off by the policy that does not allow them to bring gadgets in school.

From the entrance gate you can already see a long line for bag inspections. Honestly, they inspect like a maniac. They would even touch the most unlikely parts but not the private ones. They sought, they searched and they have found it, the treasure that every student hides, a cell phone. For now, their cell phones are of no use because of treasure hunting.

Why is bag inspection needed? “Para madisiplina” said a student while the Supreme Student Government said that it is a source of cheating. Both sides are right and both sides are students of the school.

When asked about the No Gadgets Policy, another student said, “Nakakabadtrip”. Who would not be feeling bad trip? They tried their best hiding their phones inside their shoes, behind their napes and even in their underwears.

Their reasons for bringing gadgets are for emergency purposes and nobody knows the other. Obedience is needed and discipline is key.

All of the teachers are agree with the policy because they said it only interrupts the discussion and focus of the students. On the other hand, Ms. Marbie said “Para iwas holdap.”

Because of the said policy, a lot of students complain and a lot of them also lose their gadgets. When Kuya Cris was asked, he said “Maraming nawawalan at di masabi kung sino nagnanakaw.” Even he is aware of the stealing incidents.

“The school is monitoring them so that their attitude will be molded in a good way” that is what Sir Andy said. It is also one of the purposes why the No Gadgets Policy is still being implemented and why the bag inspections are still being done.

These gadgets are like treasures for the students. They care for it so much and they will do anything for it, even to disobey a school rule. No one knows when this will end but for now, it will continue for the school sees it as a disciplinary action.
